Katherine Bernice Zelent, our mother, was an animal-loving, small yet mighty, resilient woman who was kind to everyone who crossed her path. She was called home to her heavenly Father in March 2022 after battling Metastatic Lung Cancer.

Katherine was the neighbor, friend, sister, aunt, and Nana, who gave to others, regardless of how difficult things were for her herself. If someone needed a snack or a meal, she provided. If she learned of someone going through a hard time, she would find a way to offer support. She was as selfless as they come, always putting others before herself, and happy to do so. Kathy loved the Lord, her family, and her friends, fiercely.

After Kathy passed, her daughters did not hesitate to start Kathy’s Kindness, an organization in her memory. It’s creation sparked the continuation of Kathy’s selfless giving to others. Jacklyn Griffin, Jennifer Monacelli, and Jessica Lach, (Kathy’s three daughters) officially founded Kathy’s Kindness in May 2022 to carry on her legacy of kindness.
